Welcome to Alden. This User Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your access to and use of the Alden mobile application and related services. By downloading, installing, or using the application, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms outlined below.
If you do not agree with this Agreement, please discontinue use of the app immediately.
Alden is intended solely for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using the application, you represent and warrant that:
• You are at least 18 years old;
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement;
• You will use the application in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Users under the age of 18 are not permitted to use Alden.
Alden is a video compression utility application that allows users to:
• Upload videos for compression;
• Select preferred compression levels, including 30%, 50%, and 70%;
• Save compressed video files to their devices;
• Access and review historical compression records within the app.
The app is intended for personal and lawful use only.
Users retain ownership of all videos and files uploaded through Alden (“User Content”).
By uploading or processing content through the app, you confirm that:
• You own the content or have all necessary permissions to use it;
• Your content does not violate any copyright, privacy, or applicable law;
• Your content does not contain unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate material.
You are solely responsible for the videos and materials you upload, compress, store, or share using the app.
You agree not to use Alden to:
• Upload or process illegal or infringing content;
• Interfere with the operation or security of the application;
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data;
• Reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the app without authorization;
• Use the application for fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful purposes.
Violation of these terms may result in suspension or termination of access to the app.
5. Compression Records and Storage
Alden may maintain records of your compression history and processed files in order to provide core functionality and improve user experience.
While we strive to provide reliable storage and processing services, we do not guarantee that all files, records, or compression history will remain permanently available or error-free.
Users are encouraged to independently back up important video files.
All application software, interface designs, logos, graphics, and related materials are owned by Alden or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted, users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, copy, or create derivative works based on any part of the application.
Your use of Alden is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information and uploaded content may be collected, processed, and protected.
By using the app, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
The application is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee that:
• The app will always operate without interruptions or technical issues;
• Compression results will always meet user expectations;
• Stored records or processed files will never be lost or corrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, all express and implied warranties are disclaimed.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alden and its operators shall not be liable for:
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
• Loss of files, videos, or stored records;
• Data corruption or processing errors;
• Damages arising from unauthorized use of the app.
Your use of the application is entirely at your own risk.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Alden at any time if users violate this Agreement or engage in activities harmful to the application or other users.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
We may update or revise this Agreement periodically. Any updated version becomes effective once published within the app or associated services.
Continued use of Alden after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.
